Membership Information

Membership in ASARA is currently only available for established teams that respond to SAR incidents within Arkansas.

Team Membership Benefits

  • Help pay for the state level National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR) membership that gives all SAR responders in Arkansas discounted access to NASAR courses and evaluations
  • Help support development of SAR training programs and state level standardization on training, equipment, and protocols
  • Access to a variety of instructors to come to your location to teach a class of your choosing
  • Assistance with creating or updating your SAR team standards and policy and procedure guidelines
  • Access to contact information for a variety of SAR resources across the state

2025 Dues

ASARA Team Membership is an annual fee that is good for one (1) calendar year and includes all team members.


Team Membership Pricing for 2025 is as follows:

  • Teams with 1-5 members: $50 / calendar year
    • This level receives 1 vote in ASARA elections.
    • Note: This level includes individuals and single resources not affiliated with a team
  • Teams with 6-15 members: $100 / calendar year
    • This level receives 2 votes in ASARA elections.
  • Teams with 16+ members: $200 / calendar year
    • This level receives 3 votes in ASARA elections.

Once we receive and review your application, you will be sent an invoice for your balance due. We can only accept check payments at this time. Details on where to send payments will be included with your invoice. You will be e-mailed a receipt once we receive your payment.

ASARA Elections

The Arkansas Search and Rescue Association will have a yearly election during our Annual Membership Meeting (typically held during the ASARA State SAR Conference). This is were items that needs a membership vote such as adoption of major changes to the ASARA by-laws will be voted on as well as the election of members of the Board of Directors.

The 2025 ASARA Election will be for the NE and SE area Board of Director positions. Only ASARA member teams that have paid their 2025 dues by April 30 will be allowed to vote in the 2025 election.
